We are placing our plants in an area inhabited by farmers and where no social amenities are available. By building our plants in this area we will greatly take part in the economic and social development of the area, however due consideration will be given to avoid pollution and destruction of the area. Only very few trees will be cut down to give space to the factory buildings, however other economic trees will be planted in the area such as mango and of course cashew trees. It is expected that we will provide direct jobs to more than 400 people and even more indirect jobs will be created, such as truckers, small shops, buka restaurants, clearing and forwarding agents, construction workers, nation wide distributors of our dairy products – and here we are talking of jobs in the thousands. We are proud to be part of such a development and not cause any pollution to the atmosphere. It is our hope that you will join us and help us with such development by buying our Top Class Cashew Nuts. The more your company buys from GAPCOL the more we can do for the local communities.
Buy our Cashew Nuts and jointly we will improve the standard of living for the thousands.
Today most of the Cashew Nuts grown in Nigeria are exported in the raw, thereby depriving farmers and other inhabitants of the cashew nut growing areas of getting a much needed higher standard of living. Thousands of jobs are lost thru the export of raw nuts and Nigeria is deprived of much needed foreign exchange. It is estimated that Nigeria export over 250.000 tons of raw nut equal to over 20.000 well paid jobs in the industry and millions of Dollars are not coming to Nigeria. In addition to exporting the raw nuts to far eastern countries who re-export the processed nuts to Europe and USA, the footprint of Co2 is much much higher than a direct import of finished products from Nigeria.
Processed delicious cashew nuts from Nigeria will help farmers greatly and will contribute to a reduction of emission of Co2.
